  1. Thankyou lovely people. I have successfully set up a few good ones now... except for some reason CoreProtect isn't showing me edits made by another player...? Says "no block data"... not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'll figure it out soon enough. Any recommended plugins? Role-playing or otherwise? Thx!
  2. Have you ever used this AdvancedEco plugin? I have installed it and the mob slaying pay-outs work but I don't see how to use any of the other features it lists such as uniforms and so on. Can you recommend any other good economy plugins? I want to have the server so that there are purposes to being there, rather than everyone directly competing with each other in shops you can instantly warp to, etc... For example you can farm lots of different products which in turn are bought by bakers or manufacturers (tanners, etc) or ores mined are shipped to players that smelt them and make them into blocks, which in turn are bought by others to turn into armor and weapons and tools, which in turn are bought by the miners, so on. So in this way players can have niches they fill which gives purpose to their buildings and lives within the server. Any plugins you know of that could achieve this... AdvancedEco looked promising for it but as I mentioned I am unable to find out how to use it's listed features and I wonder if they are even built into it yet or simply proposed features...
  3. Thanks guys. It's only a small entry for now, but you warp into the Core Warp Conduit and can gain immediate access to the relatively safe Colony Fort re you have three guest houses to choose from, a set of basic resources and tools, and can come and go between the city via the Main Gate (a redstone-lever operated set of sliding stone block doors). You may build anywhere in the world without restriction, and the quarry gives access to immediate resources just due-west slightly. Wood, fields, sand, sandstone, water, even lava is immediately accessible. Only one residence is currently available outside the Fort's barricade - the Colony Operation Manager's residence which is offered to whoever wishes to occupy the role of Operations Manager and determine policy regarding zoning, infrastructure, economy, etc. It's a very young and fresh server, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing where it goes. It's hosted in Australia (on a 24/7 paid host server) and has 45 player slots available. Enderman griefing, PVP and Creeper damage are turned off, and it's default player mode is Survival (although admins later on will have Creative rights). There will be roles, jobs, bank accounts (which accrue interest) shops, and a bunch of other stuff offered by the Advanced Economy plugin. WorldGuard is also enabled so you can protect your chests and builds from being interfered with by other players. Drop in sometime to the blog and if it interests you join the server and join in the community.

  5. It's a game hosting server. I found the server files, they're editable by browser without the need for FTP which is quite handy actually.
  6. Thank you! Yeah I'm around. Got re-hired by my old work, now I'm on the boat-building crew which is expanding so that's pretty neat. Aco I'd love your input! I have worldguard installed but I'm trying to figure out ftp access to the files so I can adjust the config files and set things like creeper and TNT damage to off, etc.
  7. Hi awl! I have begun a new remote-hosted (paid for) Minecraft Server called cPho City. You can join at 43.245.160.32 You can also subscribe to the Wordpress blog site for it. Experienced Minecraft players and input into ideas for running it are very welcome!
  8. Wow that's a lot of work!
  9. Herro awl. Been awhile, huh. Nice to see this place doing so well, I'm stoked. Guess this thread is as good a place as any? I have twitter, facebook, google+ and skype. My Twitter and Skypes are both in my sig on CSGf, but my facebook and google are personal accounts so I keep them unpublished. 3dBits a blog about 3D textures, models, materials etc being published. Your thoughts?
  10. Sorry for the server going down the last two or three days. I have been very occupied with work (I'm away on business - how posh does that sound??) so I didn't notice until just now. It's been renewed now and should be live again within 2 hours. I apologise for the inconvenience everybody!
