Show Us your Rural towns

Recommended Posts

I build small towns and rural areas, so this is the thread for me. 26721.gif

I don't play SC4 very much these days, but once in a while, I get into a simcity mood.

Today was one of those days.

Ausnia was started several months ago. It's a rural area with just a few farms and housing areas. Not even a town at all.

I like showing areas in progress, so expect more of Ausnia with even more farms and houses sometime in the future. Could be tomorrow, could be next year.

This is Saratoga. I started this town 6 months ago and have worked on it off and on. I worked on it a little bit today.

The schools and hospital of Saratoga service the surrounding communities as well as Saratoga.

This area is what I did today.

I see your point but I don't think he plays with realism in mind.. in fact I do that in Whitewater.. the GY could be 1910 but I do things that seem a lot more modern.

it looks nice though TC.. i like the water.. 26721.gif

These two pics are farms more than town. These farms are in Devonshire which is next to Wickham.

First is an overview...

Next is a closer shot of Gwendylspire Farms...

That's pronounce gwendle-spear and I give the credit to The Carol Burnett Show for that name.

Another picture of Wickham. I upgraded some streets to roads. I put water in the city and immediately some High tech industry grew. I also put in some parks, and as always there's some more residential and commercial zones.
